Situated in the Cumbrian town of Alston, Wild Goose Cottage is an award winning holiday home which can sleep 8 adults and a young child. The house was formerly a farm building built in 1611 and has been restored to a high standard retaining much of the original character. It comprises of a substantial through dining room to a well equipped kitchen and a sitting room opening onto an attractive garden and patio with seating and a portable barbecue. Also on the ground floor is a shower room with toilet and utility room with washer and tumbler drier.

On the first floor is a large family bathroom with bath and separate shower; and three bedrooms: one king size, one double, one twin bedded. There is another large bedroom with one double and one single bed on the second floor.

The cottage is heated by gas central heating and in addition a gas log effect stove in the sitting room.

There is a TV with DVD and video player, a CD player and a small collection of DVD's and videos. For the keen readers there is a well stocked bookcase.

Situated feet away from Alston's main street, a range of pubs, cafés and gift shops are within easy walking distance. Although there is no parking space at the cottage, there is plenty of parking on the square within 100 yards, after luggage has been dropped off.
